Green Eggs and Ham Revisited

The little guy in the red hat is quite the annoying one isn’t he? His name is Sam I Am. This is what Green Eggs and Ham really is. Just a little guy in a red hat who really can’t take a hint. You really must sympathize with this tall fellow in the black hat. [...]

Safe Rides

Safe Rides is a transportation service our school kindly offers to students unable to drive home, primarily to prevent drunk minors from driving under the influence. Advertising a “safe ride” just a phone call away, the program ensures a “no questions asked” policy in order to eliminate the caller’s fear of getting in trouble if [...]

About

Q. Who is farce?

A: Actually it would be phrased “what is farce”. Farce is a specific type of humor that we don’t care to delve into explaining, but this organization applies this word simply as an arrogant synonym for “humor”.

Q. What is a syndicate?

A: Generally speaking, it is a group of some sort, typically in reference to writers or organized crime. Whichever of those two you think we are is completely your call.

Q: What is The Farce Syndicate?

A: It is a consortium of only Monta Vista High School’s most hardcore, a gathering of young minds commonly bent on world domination. We also publish humorous media (articles, cartoons, pictures etc.) that we ourselves come up with through our own imagination, aiming to succeed where The Dirty Brick failed miserably.

Q: I made a funny article/cartoon/whatever. Can I submit it to you kids?

A: Not unless you attend Monta Vista High School. If you do attend MVHS, your ideas are welcome even if you’re not in the club.

Q: hay d00dz i found lyke a funny pic on ebaums and i think it would be 1337 if you had it on your site lolz

A: We only publish original material, which means that the ideas, writing, and art are all done by ourselves. So no, posting that other stuff would not be 1337. It would be lame, unoriginal and pl4g4ris/\/\.

Q: I want to be a part of this Syndicate. How do I join?

A: Submit an email to farce.syndicate@gmail.com with your name, credit card number, and current grade level. If possible, briefly describe what specific type of contributions you could make, such as drawing skills (not anime), photoshop skills, writing skills, or just an overall rad level of creativity and originality which is just as valuable.

Q: I can draw/write but I’m not creative or funny. Can I still join?

A: Yes! In that kind of situation, you may have to be willing to be directed as to what to draw or write about by someone with the ideas who cannot draw/write adequately themselves.

Q: I think my submission is funny. Will it be guaranteed publication?

A: No. Currently, our selection process for publication-worthy submissions is democratic within the club. This means that we as a club vote what to accept and reject for publication.

NOTE: This is not saying that everything we post will be funny to everyone. If we made a mistake in publishing something lame, you can post comments or email us with your input. If you input happens to be a widely held opinion and not just an isolated opinion of your own, we will address it ASAP. We don’t want to suck and you as a reader could help us make sure of that.

Q: How often is content added?

A: Generally, updated material is posted any time it is completed, but we try to have at least 6 new pieces every 3 weeks or so. We will also have a series of articles based on a weekly cycle. So essentially, there is no single designated date where all the new stuff will be posted at once, so do check back every now and then so that you won’t feel left out when your friends are talking about the new thing on the site that you missed out on.
